Why Whole Sky?

“I love you as big as the whole sky downtown.” That’s what I told my mother as a very young child and it became a family saying which has passed down to my own daughter. As a child it was the biggest expanse I could imagine —the best way I could think of to express my endless love.  But the sky is bigger than just what can be seen from downtown; it’s the whole sky above the world.
